Yeah, there were a lot of people there.
I had a shit day at work, then set a bunch of PR's getting over to Bethlem in time - I like to characterise this as a thorough warm-up.
This year is night and day from the same race last year- I was confident that the bike would go where I pointed it, and was leaning the bike over hard into the corners.
Did my standard thing of letting basically the entire field go past me at the start, then started passing people.
I am, and there is no way of dressing this up, appalling at dismount-jump-remount - I lost so much time on the two per lap that it was laughable.
Anyway, it was fun, I forgot about work for two hours, and I didn't get a puncture- great success!
