Frame good enough to spend money on?

  • I'm looking for a frameset for a bike to rebuild and convert to belt drive, so a bit of money will be spent on it.

Do you think this frame for £60 is good enough for that type of rebuild or should I be going for something a bit better:

    It's straight and no dents.

  • if it is straight, vikings did some nice bikes back in the day
check the viking thread and ebay for comparison

  • No.

The frame will look quite nice wonce shot blasted and powdercoated, but there will still be a nob on the forks for ataching a light.

  • "Knobs can be removed".
You could easily find a 531 frame in that kind of condition for less money.

To use a drive belt the rear dropout will need to be removable - use a Trek District frame?
