Then you have Sarr and the newly acquired Ginter the former whilst a gifted and strong player is far too junior to be considered a first team regular. Ginter I can imagine being the long term replacement for Hummels.

So I wouldn't agree with you.

I'm not saying Lovren is better, I'm saying it's much easier for BVB to sell Hummels to Man U, than for Southampton to sell Lovren to Liverpool.

I'm assuming neither want to stay, both want the move to happen.
