Riding fixed you'll only get laces trapped in the chainring once, you won't want it to happen twice.
Plenty of solutions: shoes with just Velcro (eg. Spesh Comp/Sport), shoes lock laces, shoes with Velcro straps to cover the laces, etc.
I use SPDs on all bikes (fixed and geared) and a mixture of shoes:-
