Isn't it stupid shit by Garmin to let him finish yesterday and abandon today rather than let him climb off yesterday? No-one enjoyed watching him ride in, brave as it was, and surely may have aggravated his chronic back injury and his chest infection. At the same time the team was attacking in order to ensure Slagter finished 15 minutes down on winner of the stage. Soppy cunts.
