If you bought a Veyron, I don't think getting the best second-hand price is really a concern...

Especially when you're just going to smash it up in the west end

It's an engineering marvel; I'd love to test drive one.

You'd be so surprised.

It's amazing that it ever got built.
VW has made a loss on each one that has been built. Anyone who bought a new VeeDub in the last five years will have noticed their service bill increase fractionally and the parts not lasting quite as long. This is no issue because of warranties etc, but they diverted ALL resources to making this car exist at the expense of their regular, ordinary Joe clients.

Kind of like Specialized then?

I guess so.

You don't get rich by making bad financial decisions.

I've had a bike stolen and have since had my insurance claim accepted. I don't need another bike so have almost £1500 to build a new one through Kinoko as my insurance company will direct to them, hopefully! Does anybody need a new build?

With a heavy heart we have made the tough decision to close our Golden Square Shop. The date of the closure will be August 29. The business has seen a lot of changes over the last few years and unfortunately the move to a much larger space added complications we felt we just couldn't overcome. We would like to thank everyone who visited our shop and all the customers who put their trust in us to build their dream bikes. We've had an amazing time at Golden Square and are very proud of everything we achieved.

Sad times. Nice shop too, but I guess the overheads of a Soho shop require one hell of a turnover. Hope they continue to grow in their new ventures.

yeah sad really .. I've always missed the old shop; i'd love if they go back to smaller scale/shop.

it would appear so
We've had a lot of questions recently about our range plan moving forward. Next season there will definitely be a emphasis on building our performance and casual clothing range but we will still continue to stock hard to find frames and components. We will be discontinuing our complete bike range.
Next season to name a few we will be seeing big new drops from Tokyo Fixed, Mission Workshop and Search & State. We will be welcoming back old friends such as Nari Furi and the Japanese line of Wild Things. And we will be greeting lots of new brands such as Attaqeur and Kletterworks. Please stay with us!

A shame, the shop is a much more pleasant retail space than most bike stores. I have generally found the staff to be very helpful, a shame for all affected by the closure.

Really sad to hear about this. Staff were great when I got my DartV2 frame.
Fair point. As long as it wasn't a Veyron which you owned. Every thousand miles you put on it means ten thousand off the asking price...
