He's still growing, the one that fits this week won't fit next week. Waste of money. :)

Needs dubious curtains.
I expect you were thinking of this. :)

Your jersey is too big for you.
He'll grow into it once his old man fatness kicks in.
Try getting a jersey that fits.

Trying to get aero in anticipation of riding track when I'm back from holidays.

Judging by pic, and everybody is different, and you won't know until on track, pic may be crap etc...
...suck your belly in a bit more and rotate hip bones rearward. Reaching with hip bones forward isn't optimal for comfort/balance/power.
In my experience. If I am wrong no doubt tester will be auto-summoned to this thread :)

stop worrying about how aero you are and find a comfortable position that you can pedal hard in. Do not over think this shit.
When you start racing and are losing sprints by half a wheel you can begin looking for marginal gains. -

People get back pain if the curve over their back isn't smooth.
So to stay aero and comfortable closing that hip angle is the way. Or sack off aero, go for power and stay upright. Both work.
IMHO etc, etc.

When you start racing and are losing sprints by half a wheel you can begin looking for marginal gains. Also a position you can pedal fast in.
I have to come up a bit to hold the highest cadence.
IMHO etc, blah...

You're already in an aero position when you're in the drop anyway.

You think so? It's already a 130 or 135 but needs replacing so I guess I'll try a 140.
Yeah go full Boardman and just pretended it's got extensions

I may perhaps be able to bend more forwards but my back doesn't look bent/curved if I check position in a window reflection on the Gazelle. I have a short back though. It may come down to anatomical differences... :)

That front wheel / down tube situation is crazy close......

Looking good! :)
In the category of stupid questions: Aren't spoke wheels too much hassle on the crap UK roads? I bust a MTB rim on a pothole, my tourer wheels are going out of true...that's just standard Belfast roads.
Or are they stronger than they look?
-
• #422
@JWestland they're pretty tough I guess, I wouldn't ride it every day. It's a corima 4 spoke so probably more delicate than Aerospokes.
@chickenleaverpuller cheers man, hoping others will rise to it for the slave ride.

I had some serious bike drama this week :(
There was a miscommunication with somebody selling a v1 brooklyn in my size, I moved on the v2 thinking I had dibs on it before hearing that somebody else did... so enter my consolation buy/new beater.

Although this wasn't without slight drama, when I went to view it the seller remembered that he'd had it repaired after it cracked at the seat clamp, after some talking I managed to get it for what still seems like a bargain.
Got home with it last night and threw a quick build together with parts I got with it/had about.
Only really taken it round the block because I'm waiting on some street wheels and need to order a proper crankset/BB.
