Thanks, I actually remember seeing those. I wasn't keen on shipping a wheelset because of $$$. I'm sorted now anyways.
any 9-10 spd hub will take 8spd cassettes, though the alignment won't be perfect and you'll need a lockring.
or if you have a friend who can manufacture spacers exactly for the right size, you can use a loose cog 9spd cassette.
or just buy shimano wheels and a 8spd sunrace cassette, which is spaced exactly for 5mm.
cheap..
This is very helpful indeed. I had planned to use a 7spd freewheel and lock out one of the shifter clicks, but it's interesting that an 8spd Sunrace cassette is spaced exactly for Campag's 5mm.
Doesn't that mean you can't use the 8spd Sunrace cassettes with 8spd Shimano shifters (which are built for 4.8mm travel)?
**RESOLVED
Thanks for your offers, I'm now using a non-Campag hub for this build.**
Thanks for that offer, it looks lovely, I'm sorted now so won't need it.
