Tubeless is almost as messy and time consuming as tubs. The difference is a tyer swap on race day, at the venue is viable.
The new Stans Grale rim looks interesting though - it's like a hybrid Iron Cross / Alpha rim that can run low pressure CX and high pressure road, tubeless. Would look in to that if considering tubeless.
