^that Delancy street is a F*CKING death trap from the highstreet lights all the way up the where it joins parkway etc. Nowhere to cross and the filter system means a steady stream of cars. Suprised more accidents don't happen there TBH. Had pulled over to sort my backpack out after crossing Delancy southbound along Arlington when I heard a massive crunching noise behind me. Turn around to see a car piling headlong over the pedestrian island, through a set of railings and into the wall of that cafe on the corner. Turns out two motorcyclists were fanging it up there as all traffic does every time I wait at that junction (you can never cross it unless the pedestrian lights have been pressed) and the driver has misjudged their speed, pulled out and theyve both gone straight into her doing well over 30mph. The way one was lying and the positioning of his body parts I thought he was dead, it was horrible. Blood and bits of motorbikes everywhere, one fellas watch had snapped off his wrist and was lying by my foot. Side of the car was totally wrecked like it had been through a crusher. When I left both were moving but pretty seriously injured. HATE that road. Rant over.
