Are Embassy's and Consulates around the world meant/required to help or look after citizens in trouble? Or is it just for visas and drinks parties?
ps Weber grills are worth it
I thought you were talking about fags initially.
But yes. AFAIK.

Ta both. If I get the packing and tidying done tonight I'll ride it over, otherwise I'll just have to face certain death with a steely resolve.

Yes, I use one of their barbecues and one of their smokey mountain smokers, both are excellent.

Where can I buy a new connecting pin for CN5701 chain?
I got blank looks in CRC this morning.
Alternatively, which powerlink style connectors does the forum recommend? Sram, Clarks, Missing link etc. -

49/19 for around town? Yes or no?
Yes, assuming 700×23-28C. I might be inclined to go to 20T to drop it from high sixties to low sixties.

Q
anyone able to recommend a good value 20t freewheel?Sturmey Archer £14 +P&P @ SJS Cycles Cheap, but unlike Dicta, is removable using a "standard" 4-lug tool.
Token £49.50 @ Hargroves A bit fancier, 2 sealed bearings.White Industries: 1 good big bearing and they're servicable.
£60 from the States, free shipping worldwide, but you'll need to pay VAT as it's over £18, and the UK deliverer will add a fee (RM £8? PF £12?)
CTBM has them, but 20T is the smallest of the slightly pricier ones, at £82.50 instead of £73.50Echo do a 20T version of their 72-point TR freewheel, £69 at Tarty Bikes
The cheap SA ones are ok, especially if you dribble some chain lube into them, just don't get a Dicta.

I've just bought some Easton Attack TT Handlebars second hand. Some of the lacquer has peeled off in a couple of areas (very small bits).
I'm not concerned from an aesthetic point of view, but what's the best way to protect the carbon (or should I not be worried about it?). Could I remove any flaky bits with a blade and re-seal with something? I've seen clear nail varnish mentioned before but not sure how this would affect the stem clamping area.
