I just cycled it up to Yorkshire for the The Grand Depart, so given it a good run. Route included most of stage two and a bit of the first (in reverse) on my way up. The Peaks, and Yorkshire are absolutely stunning, the cycling was so, so good.
I am absolutely loving this bike...the steel, the Sram Red, the 27c Open Paves, the whole shebang!
Actually, I'm not sure I like running a compact chainset as much, but gear range trumps the occasional front/rear multishift to correct the gearing.
Progress? well...
I got the Royce Hubs (Venus rear/Superlight front) built up for this. Faffed around with the options of Hed or Pacenti rims, but for £100 delivered for a pair you just cant fault the Archetypes. Laced 3X to the 32h Royce with sapims, make the perfect light touring wheelset. The Chris King X Hed are on the Cervelo.
Also, swapped the Stem over and now back on the trusty Romin. Looked like this before I set off...

Only pics I have of it, will try and get some better when its recovered from its' strip down, clean, regrease.
Thinking I might put the Dura Ace on it and the Sram on the R3. Could use another Romin, as this one's off the Burls and will look at getting the PDW mudguards later in the year.
