Froome started the stage with a broken wrist according to a Sky mechanic
Broken scaphoid I'd wager.

Looks like he broke that chainring after falling so many times
And the forks.

Italians don't give a shit about doping..
Virenque has been finding Tour employment for years with French TV. The British love to pay homage to Tom Simpson.
Terribly disappointing day, though at least Contador lost time. Still, it's a long way to go and there's a long time trial at the end. I hope Kwiatkovski, Porte and Talanksy are on form in the mountains. Especially keen to see what Porte can do now, being their Plan B and all.

It'll be interesting to know what role they played in the talks to neutralize/get sectors cut out now that we've got that info.
It'll also be interesting to see if this reflects badly on them in the eyes of other teams who may feel like Sky was trying to play them.

Not to mention a fairly well known cyclist who has just got a job at ITV...

St David of Millar is above all criticism.

I was wondering about the tour doctor yesterday - she makes a statement about Froome's wrist but is presumably bound by patient confidentiality too. She didn't look comfortable.

No one's ever seen this guy and Superman in the same place, just saying.

Guy looks battered, actually feel for him.
http://media.zenfs.com/en_us/Sports/ap/201407090902325798584His legs are far too skinny. You'd need about six of him for one of Förstemann's thighs.

He looks like a genetic experiments, just came out of a slimy artificial womb

Bert does
"Alberto Contador @albertocontador 31s
From here I want to give support to @chrisfroome ,months of work and everything gone.A big loss for the Tour. See you here next year." -

St David of Millar is above all criticism.
Apart from of his choice of headwear, obviously.
You're right on Virenque and Simpson, although that doesn't actually make what I said untrue :)
Basically, cycling fans are totally forgiving of dopers. Except Lance.

And Valverde. And Landis. And Ricco. And Santa.

Froome out?
The weather from out of the Eurostar after Lille early afternoon certainly looked like it.
-

I'd rather listen to Phil and Paul than Millar. He's an arrogant, conceited prick whose failings as a human being have ended up, somehow, making him even more self-satisfied.

All the farm lanes were flooded.

The Merc taxi only stayed on the road because of its ABS etc. electronics.

^^^You need to get on board with the confusing ramblings of Greg Lemond and his bizarre French co-host on Lemond on Tour. It reminds me of a University radio show.

Well just got in, read through 10 pages of your chat about today's race and now can't wait to watch highlights... Sounds proper epic. Why did I have to be out today rather than 'working' at home or at least tucked away in a quite corner of my office......nibs sounds like a demon
Looks like he broke that chainring after falling so many times
