I think we'll see some excitement, some new blood maybe?

Bertie riding pretty at the front...

out, and before he even got to the cobbles.

• #1531
Nah, lead Porte to a top 3. Conti - Nibz - Richie. Sewn up.

Out before he even got to the cobbles!
Really want to see this stage cause carnage but hate to see him out of the race. Especially before the fun even began!

G to go for the stage?
YES! Not that I called it or anything...
-
• #1534
Also, this is Bertie's to lose now. Wonder if Rodriguez regrets letting so much time go now...

Bert not looking half bad riding the cobbles

We should be placing bets now before the bookies catch up.
Who's going to win then?

This man is in the tumble dryer, but it's exceedingly wet -kirby gets worse

Cav out, Froome out.... fantasy team pwoppa fucked.

let the second guessing commence..
Commence? Have you been paying attention the last few weeks?
I made jokes about it yesterday, but now it's happened I'm genuinely sad for him, and he rest of the Tour will be less interesting without him.
This. So much this. My stomach sunk for the guy.

After the last few year's of British highs in the Tour, this one as been an unmitigated disaster, despite the amazing Grand Depart.

+1 he looked to be in a pretty bad way.

^^ Quite. Wiggo out, Cav out, Froome out, Millar out.
Are there actually any Brits left?!

Nah, lead Porte to a top 3. Conti - Nibz - Richie. Sewn up.
I'd rather see Nieve get a shot-his form in the mountains has been pretty good so far this year...

G to go for the stage?
Where is he on the course? He didn't go back for Froome?
So...Porte for the overall? Oopsies, this was widely predicted pre-tour.

I can see a Tour with no British finisher!

At least Froome looked human for a bit. For a second my cold, dead heart broke for him.

Depends which way you look at it. Yorkshire now has a UCI 3 day race, some would say 'give a fuck' if Froomey won or lost.
If Yatesy now has a gutsy showing I'd say it's done moar for British cycling than Froomey or Cav winning would have done.

I feel very sorry for Froome, hard hard way to leave the TdF for anyone, let alone the defending champion.

Sums up the whole British sporting summer. Only thing we have won this year is the British Grand Prix and Hamilton is Swiss now anyway
G to go for the stage?
