^Could be anything. It's probably your bb/crank arms/chainring bolts, but it could be anything. Try loosening off, cleaning, greasing, and re-tightening everything from the top down. Saddle, seatpost, stem, chainring bolts, crank arms. Then if it still persists, whip the cranks off and do the same to the bottom bracket - assuming it's just a sealed unit you can make sure it's done up nice and tight on the fixed and the free side, as the bearings won't seize. If it still happens it might be because the frame hasn't been chased and faced, but I'd bet some money it'll be something simple from the top of the list that Matt's just forgotten to get up to torque.

Like? I can't decide on the saddle...it was a last minute snap decision and I'm not sure it works

Cheers Alex, I think I'll whip it into him to get checked out

^^^ Looks real nice! I found my cranks creaked a lot, put some copper slip on the contact surfaces of the axle & crank arm. Seemed to cure it

What are you doing with the old cranks Huddo? Old saddle's more suited I reckon
-
• #915
Sold the old cranks mate
Going to put the old saddle back on and see what I think to it

Looks great mate, I'd pop a brake on there myself but each to their own!
-
• #921
In all fairness I probably will, need to get a different lever though as they're oversized bars
-
• #922
I think I've got an old specialized cross top lever somewhere, I may have given it to Alex though. It's not in the best of nick but it'd work. You're welcome to it of I find it

Archetypes on victoire 'ubs. Really light and nice.
Ah, lots and lots. I think I'm just going to go for something cheap and cheerful first, then if I don't get on with them I can always upgrade the hubs in time. Thanks for the offer though, will bear it in mind.
