It will have to be posted, or picked up from Nottingham, rather than Putney- I think I was in auto-pilot when writing the advert. -

Eyebrows.I'm guessing you didn't get my pm? Sent it yesterday. Anyway I'm in the look out for my first single speed.I've road bikes for years but never single speed.so a Muppet when it comes singles/fixies! Can this be ran as a single speed as is or is it purely a fixie? Also has the frame be resprayed? Noticed the 531 renovated never seen that before.I would need it posted as I'm in devon.I've got a bikes I'm looking at but prefer the retro look of yours chess Jon

Sorry just read the single sided hub bit! Is it easy enough to change? Still interested can you let me know asap cheers j

I asked the person I bought it from, and he did get it resprayed. But that was quite some time ago.
The Reynolds sticker seems to be relatively rare.
As for the rear hub, it is single side fixed.
This doesn't mean no freewheel, as you can use a bmx style one.
Or I could leave the current rear wheel on, which has a freewheel on already. -

Just literally went around the block on my mates set up as a fixie and nearly died! Went down a short steep hill and was some what out of control going onto the to at the bottom. Thanks I'm glad I came onto this forum many people have been really friendly and helpful however there are way too many nice bikes around at good cheers Jon

In the old days you could not buy frame decals just like that [eg on ebay or from Lloyd] to avoid putting a 531db decal on a gas pipe frame and protect Reynolds reputation...A decal came with the original tubeset...so if you got your frame resprayed by an acknowledged Reynolds dealer...Bob Jackson, Mercian, etc....you would have a 531 Renovated decal attached [753 or whatever]....otherwise your frame would be sans decal!
A Holdsworth in orange must be good.
