• Bad boy, bad boy, watcha gonna do...

  • I think he's got no money left to give back.

He must surely be scared of getting a proper kicking.

    As well he should be.

Sometimes it's better to get banged up.

He might just have been too clever by half.

I would never use direct bank transfer to buy online.

  • Mr Charlie Z Harris. You didn't reply to any pm's after you received my money. You ignore my follow up questions on this thread. You had plenty of time to explain yourself and/or pay me back and haven't, so I've submitted an Action Fraud Claim because you didn't leave any other option. If anyone else wants my claim reference number to link to then send over a pm.

  • In reference to the use of the word 'Dinlo'

I remember being called a Dinlo when I was at primary school. We had an occasional classmate (can't remember her name) who was a gypsy / traveller (no offence intended through my possible misuse of the correct language). I was about 7 or 8 at the time and she used the word to mean idiot / silly person. I'd never heard it used before and haven't heard it used since. She was different from the other kids and used to only appear every few months when she was back in the area, as such she got a fairly hard time. Shame, as she was alright. This was about 30 years ago.

Interesting to hear this word again anyway.

CSB and all that. Hope you all get your money back.

  • agree, i thought dinlo has itinerant roots and have heard the term when i ventured into the medway towns region

  • I haven't actually got my CRN yet...they gave it to me at the end of the report but then I had also ticked to have it emailed to me, which Action Fraud do not seem to have done yet. Sorry to those who have sent PMs.

I've lived in Kent, Sussex, a bit north of London and Glasgow too and have friends from all over the country, but only ever heard this one girl use the word. She got the piss taken for it and it kinda stuck in my mind. Well, upon hearing it used again it took me back to the playground anyway.

  • Might start a "The Word Dinlo" thread.

Meanwhile - I'll report this guy tomorrow morning. Anyone who has their ref number by then may wish to pm me.

    Well in Tommmmmmmm

It's worth the bother because I suspect the way this fraud is pitched Charlie Z Harris didn't reckon anyone would actually follow it up. Hope he feels the hand of the law sooner than later.

  • How have I only just seen this? Can everyone imagine I made one or two nob jokes and a sub hatbread pun every page or so please?

  • Dinlo got used in Reading occasionally when I was growing up.

  • Just for the record I did not pay for the DA rear mech as I had second dibs, I presume the first dibber got it - if not then I'm still hopeful!

  • For those of you who are filing Action Fraud claims, Charlie was born four days after the Berlin Wall fell (bet that makes some of you feel old) and I did indeed spell his curious middle name correctly further up the thread. They should help identify him.

  • All spellings corrected, get filing!

  • How do we know the fraudster that is Charlie Z Harris did not post up a picture of a fake passport?

  • Probs don't but he took it down pretty quickly after he put it up.

  • How do we know the fraudster that is Charlie Z Harris did not post up a picture of a fake passport?

Being a criminal mastermind, he probably has several.

  • Would having a fake passport not get him in significantly more trouble than defrauding people for modest sums on an Internet forum?

  • Nah fam, he knows the system. The police would have to prove he has a fake passport and all he'd need to do is give them a written statement signed by him and his solicitor saying he hasn't got one and they'll never be able to prove nothing. Criminal mastermind, innit.

  • I always thought it was 'Dimlo'.

  • That is the sort of thing a Dinlo would think.

  • I used to love the word because it sounded like Duplo.

  • Loving the new dirty talk ammo I've got from here lately

I wanna dinlo your blem, if you know what I mean

  • ''Dinlo''
