"Check out Alexander's custom Specialized S-works.
Originally purchased in a tired, worn out paint-job we completely stripped the frame by acid-dipping and media blasting. We use such a fine grain of blast it's perfect for thin-walled tubes like this. All original stamps and logos are still present in the frame (most blasters are so rough they usually don't show through!)
Once we had the frame raw we gave it a internal and external inspection. Masking went on and we were ready in the booth for some satin black powder.
After curing at 200 degrees we cooled the frame and rubbed it down with 800 grit paper ready for the matte lacquer which went on very thin for that extra durable finish. Stone chips, what stone chips?
Alexander is really happy with the frame finish and he's built a stunning bike. Just the right amount of stealth!"
Something we recently finished!
