Kirth, give up with your contract bullshit. This aint ebay/amazon/gumtree. The police would somehow need to prove i didnt send the items rather than me proving that i did. How they would do this is beyond me. With a written statement from me and my solicitor saying that i have sent these items they would clearly not be able to prove otherwise.
...
Theres no contract on this forum. Velocio will tell you this im sure.
I missed this post as I'm not reading everything.
Actually the forum doesn't provide any rules that attempt to modify or change any laws in the UK. As in... murder is criminal, there's really no need for me to put in the rules that you shouldn't murder someone, it's covered elsewhere (UK law) and it's obvious this forum is governed by UK law.
With that in mind, UK law does cover that transactions between people, agreements of a transaction, are a form of contract and contract law does apply. There's no need for me to declare or specify the terms of any contract when UK law already provides the necessary framework for one.
And as I said earlier in this mess, if it were 1 person it would be a matter for a small claims court, a civil matter that the police wouldn't get involved with. Then we can start debating what the contract was, etc.
But with multiple people affected, and you having taken money from multiple people on false pretences it is fraud, you're a conman, and it is a criminal matter. We don't even need to debate what the contract is, fraud and theft has occurred.
The forum doesn't provide contracts simply because UK law already has everything necessary to handle this. The forum is not pretending it doesn't exist in the UK... it does.
