the time has come for me to sell my breakbrake17 serpent. I want to buy a mountain bike, and I dont have the space to own 4 bikes, so unfortunately I have to let her go. I havent used this bike more than 10 times in the past 2 years (bar a week stint in barcelona last may)
spec:
odyssey vandero 2 laced to MTX 33 front wheel 29"
machete 14mm microdrive fixed rear hub laced to hplusson todestrieb 29"
halo twin rail 29er 2.2 tyres both front and back
condor headset
odyssey elementary v3 stem
blue spike bars 3.5" rise, only cut 1 inch (these are sprayed poorly and electrical taped to look black)
vans x cult grips
some misc pivotal post.. possibly halo
abikeco seat (the one everyone loves)
bb17 serpent 29er frame, sprayed burgundy (shoddy job)
fork is a bb17 cobra 2
resist 160mm 3 piece cranks, with a demolition 25t sprocket
overall this gear ratio gives roughly 69" GI when taking into account the size of tyres, perfect for fgfs and commuting
chain is brand new bmx one, cant remember brand, decent though
odyssey twisted plastic pcs with bigtop "balotelli" camo straps
THINGS TO NOTE:
the BB cups of the frame have flared slightly, to remedy this I have used a resin to coat the cups to minimise play (milliput resin to be precisem recommended by superted). rear wheel isnt perfectly true, but close enough. front is straight as an arrow.
in my opinion these flaws are reflected in the price (these wheels cost me over £400 alone to build up)
