i've heard of that cut. Seems the producers sliced off massive amounts of plot for the sake of a more box-office friendly running time. It also explains why DF flounced from the film midway through the editing process.
i find A3 a far better re-watch than aliens, which is at its heart a very good war movie, but little else.
i shall see if i can 'purchase' it tonight.
