Pac. Probably Ultimate as well.
Pac officially closed a few years ago but if you send her a message on facebook, apparently you can still get a bag.

Pac are the best. Had my Ultimate (bought second hand) for 5 years, and used it most days. Still in great condition. Do enjoy using it as a pillow on the coach from Oxford to London too.
Finally found someone selling a right shoulder / left swing one (in new condition), which just arrived today. Give my busted left shoulder a bit of a break, not placing weight on it:

Can anyone point me towards a wide rolltop backpack? I need to fit boxes that are 35-40cm wide in it and my T-Level Infinity is too small.
Waterproof ones would be ideal.

Hadn't heard of them before but started using a Blahol backpack for work (blahol.pl) and am really quite impressed with it. Not least the staggering size of the thing but for 130Eur it seems like really good value.
Looks like they do sling bags too though I've not seen them IRL. -

In search of recommendations for a commuter bag,
Current backpack is solid, and does everything well, except for being a hair too small, and being ridiculously sweaty.
I live in Auckland NZ, so it's usually ~20 degrees celcius, and 80-100% humidity.
So I'm looking for a bag that is around 30L, and has excellent back ventilation, and is waterproof.
Backpack or messenger, bonus points for reflective things, all black, and expandable bags. -

you'll never have a dry back in the AK, unless you get a rack.

I'm working with one at the moment and the back ventilation is pretty nice and comfortable.

Anyone know if there is such a thing as a convertible triple panniers, that changes into a shoulder / courier bag? It has to be a double or triple because it's on the front rack of a bike for my girlfriend who is pregnant, so the load had to be evenly balanced to stop the wheel whipping around (there is a 14kg child on the back of the bike). A single bag on one side of the forks is no good.
I've mocked up below what I am talking about. The drawing on the left shows the kind of shape the bag takes when it's "open" on the front rack. Then it can fold up and go over the shoulder like a small courier shoulder bag, which are the drawings on the right.
Does it exist? I have searched but getting nowhere. Thanks for any help...

@jtrent90 Do you have something like this on offer? The closest thing I can see on your site is the mini messenger, but ideally I'd want something that was more separatable (is that even a word) so it would fold down properly over the sides of the front rack, like on the left of the pic above.

I'd message him via the website. I doubt they do something like that OTP, but he does often does semi custom stuff, so he may be up for something totally new.

OK thanks for the tip. I've contacted them via their site.

How much stuff you do need to carry? I've got a bigxtop front rack bag (like the rando bag but a little larger). It's got d rings either side so I use a padded camera bag strap with it when off the bike.
It's not as comfortable as a messenger when wearing it on the shoulder but it's not bad.

It's not for me Ed, it's for my gf. when she's dropping off our kid to the nursery in January, and also just riding around with him at the moment. She's pregnant as well so is finding it tough to carry the bag on her back and ride with the 13kg of kid in the rear child seat. So there is usually stuff like kids books, water bottle, some food, and others bits and pieces like that. Not a huge amount, nowhere near the same size as a full double or triple panniers.

The above design would be better than a slightly bigger rando bag, for balance and weight distribution purposes.
Oh yeah I went with the Surly Nice Rack in the end! Expensive but worth it. Both yourself and Tim had recommended it so thats another gold star from me in your book along with the Makita.

If she wants to try out the front rack bag you can borrow it in the new year when I'm back in london (unless you can make it down to New Cross in the next hour?).
Might be cheaper than getting a custom transformer bag/pannier set up.
Or what about a sainsburys basket attached on the rack then she could just put her existing messenger in there?

Maybe, I'll ask her, thanks for the offer. But iirc she's not keen on the bar bag or basket options because they make the bike a bit 'top heavy'.
That is an amazing gif, those cunx bags were great too, for one year at Max.
