miche sprocket vs 'regular ones'

Posted on
  • I have gone from a Miche sprocket on a rubbish hub with a rubbish lockring... and never had a slippage issue.

I'm now running the same ratio, but with a single piece sprocket and DA lockring, which was installed by Kinoko Cycles on a new halo aerotrack wheel.

it's slipped... I'm confused, I thought with everything upgraded there would be no problems... and i'm feeling to precious about the DA lockring to go at it with a hammer and screwdriver! do the miche tend to slip less, or is it that proper tools are generally less tight than rotofix and hammer method?

  • Rotofix the cog then give the lockring a bloody a good tighten. That should keep everything in place.
