  • Also her getting the crowd to sing "Fuck the BBC" is missing too I believe.

  • First welfare gig at Latitude in a few weeks time. Come say hello. Free teas for bike geeks.

  • I did like sound of John Grant also.

Plus Jack White made me want to learn guitar.

    For about 3 minutes.

  • From the Leicester Mercury, a heavy-hitter fit for Kasabian's standing;

Kasabian closed the Glastonbury festival with a booming eclectic display of random words, light and sound.

    A rehearsal then.

Throughout the set, cryptic messages, including the words Voucher, Canister and Dhalsim, appeared on the huge screen behind the band.

    Must be art then.

The set included a number of t-shirt changes from Serge with words including Wilfred.

    Definitely art. What a spectacle.

    Kasabian are laughable.

  • Frontman switched with Danny Dyer at some point...

  • Thanking the crowd last night, Tom, dressed in a white tuxedo and bow tie, said: "Ten years ago we opened the Other Stage – we’d been up all night of course. Seriously, thank you for this.”

Pulp - This Is Hardcore - YouTube

They've read the rule-book a few too many times.

  • I quite liked the synth/electro elements of their first album

They then started to nose it up with the Gallaghers

They then kicked out the dude that did the interesting synth/sample based stuff and pretended to be classic rock

    DTM

  • Now they want to be LCD Soundsystem

  • Kasabian
    Muse
    Elbow
    Metallica

All the bands I hate most are perfect for 'Glasto'.

  • Scratch Elbow off that straight away.

  • if you're going to 'glasto' for the music, i think it's safe to assume we're not going to have much to talk about.

  • Apparently The Franky Knuckles Tribute Tent was locked down.

    Must have been shit.

  • ^^ yup

who goes to Glastonbury to watch bands?! #lackofimagination

  • disclosure did look like fun
not like when house was underground and that,
    but fun

  • Reigate Massive... 20 + 24

    Chapeau

  • I did see Kasabian live once, they were brainlessly entertaining I hate to say

  • Club Foot is about it.

  • ^ They only ever put on two decent gigs... Psychobilly claptrap...

Here was one of the good ones...

  • ^This. I was dragged to see them at their 'home coming' gig at a park in Leicester a couple of weeks ago. Serge had a cringe t-shirt with Les-tah written on:

I agree it was pretty brainless, singalong stuff. It all felt a bit vain and egotistical but I guess that can be said of all big bands. But I had fun. Wouldn't see them again though.

  • Everyone goes on about Leicester don't they? Leicester this, Leicester that, I'm like, so what?

  • oi Leics of that Leicester bashing crispy

  • Leicester is shit...

Apart from pork pies and Banks's Mild...

  • at a park

    vickeh park
