I did like sound of John Grant also.
Plus Jack White made me want to learn guitar.
For about 3 minutes.

From the Leicester Mercury, a heavy-hitter fit for Kasabian's standing;
Kasabian closed the Glastonbury festival with a booming eclectic display of random words, light and sound.
A rehearsal then.
Throughout the set, cryptic messages, including the words Voucher, Canister and Dhalsim, appeared on the huge screen behind the band.
Must be art then.
The set included a number of t-shirt changes from Serge with words including Wilfred.
Definitely art. What a spectacle.
Kasabian are laughable.

Thanking the crowd last night, Tom, dressed in a white tuxedo and bow tie, said: "Ten years ago we opened the Other Stage – we’d been up all night of course. Seriously, thank you for this.”
Pulp - This Is Hardcore - YouTube
They've read the rule-book a few too many times.

I quite liked the synth/electro elements of their first album
They then started to nose it up with the Gallaghers
They then kicked out the dude that did the interesting synth/sample based stuff and pretended to be classic rock

MetallicaAll the bands I hate most are perfect for 'Glasto'.

Scratch Elbow off that straight away.

if you're going to 'glasto' for the music, i think it's safe to assume we're not going to have much to talk about.

^This. I was dragged to see them at their 'home coming' gig at a park in Leicester a couple of weeks ago. Serge had a cringe t-shirt with Les-tah written on:
I agree it was pretty brainless, singalong stuff. It all felt a bit vain and egotistical but I guess that can be said of all big bands. But I had fun. Wouldn't see them again though.
