Every transfer now a days is a minimum of 25-30 million, it's gone a bit mad!
So how much is Baines worth now?
-

Lallana's homegrown, with the quotas that will push up the price. And Southampton didn't need to sell.

Chile played well but apart from that last minute strike that cracked the crossbar they offered nothing in extra time. Felt they were looking for penalties as soon as the game finished 1-1. Couple of bad penalties, willian's drag wide springs immediately to mind and a couple of great ones, forget the chile players name aranguiz I think who just stood there three steps and cracked it into the roof of the net.
Thought shearer and lineker did a good job of trying to tell you how nerve wracking penalty taking at this level with so much riding on it was, so there's no shame in missing badly as he pressure can get to anyone...
Think scolari will have to change some things around especially with Luis gustavo missing the Colombia game. Hulk looked half decent this match, but Oscar is way off the pace, shunted out wide and having little effect on the game, needs to come inside more and link play and have a run at some defenders...
Hoping Mexico make holland work this afternoon... -

It's a conspiracy I tell ya!!
Seems the spiteful, vindictive, hateful British press have now got a vendetta and are going for the jugular! Poor little Suarez....always the victim

The Liverpool striker allegedly attacked Burnley's Tom Anderson in a behind-closed-doors game but the incident was later hushed up by the clubsDisgraced Luis Suarez is at the centre of a new storm over claims he head-butted a young footballer.
The Liverpool striker allegedly attacked rookie Burnley defender Tom Anderson in his first match back after a 10-game ban for sinking his teeth into Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.
The incident was missed by the referee and his assistants but another player today reveals how he witnessed it.
Mysteriously what happened appeared to have been removed from the DVD of the behind-closed-doors match.
After the game Suarez had to be prevented from confronting Anderson, leaving the 20-year-old deeply shaken.
The alleged attack came in the closing seconds of a game at Liverpool’s academy training ground in Kirby on September 18, which Liverpool lost 2-0 and was only held to aid Suarez’s return to fitness.
Our source, who played in the game, said the striker clashed several times with Anderson as he became increasingly frustrated Liverpool were losing.
The source said: “It was clear there was a headbutt. There was no doubt about it. Suarez threw his head straight into the chest of Anderson.”
Suarez lost his cool again as he was walking to his car and spotted Anderson making his way off the pitch.
Our witness said: “He caught sight of Anderson and that’s when a few insults started again.
Chris NeillHushed up: A still from the DVD of the game
“There were a few swear words, but there were too many people there for it to have got out of hand.”It was only in the days after the alleged incident, when the youngsters who took part in the game watched footage of the match, that they became aware of the severity of what Suarez had done.
Our source added: “A couple of days after, everyone was asking if I’d seen footage of the incident between Suarez and Anderson.
"I didn’t know what they were going on about, but I went to take a look and a 10-second piece had been clipped up so we could all see for ourselves what had happened.
“It was clear on the DVD. It was only because Anderson’s a lot taller than Suarez that he took it in the chest. If they’d been the same height, it could have caused a lot of damage.”
But when players were given their own copy of the DVD, the Suarez incident appeared to have been edited out.
The DVD, which the Sunday Mirror has seen, lasts until the dying minutes and stops short of showing the injury time incident.
Our source said: “Everyone wanted a copy because it was one of our best performances of the season and we’d beaten a team that included Luis Suarez. We were told as the DVDs were being handed out that the Suarez headbutt had been edited out.
“That says it all, for me – someone did not want it to be seen.”
The Sunday Mirror originally contacted both Liverpool and Burnley about this alleged incident last autumn, but neither club would comment.

Bony is quality but I would cut and run on Barry. One good season is about all you can expect from that lump.

Beg to differ. Admittedly I thought he was shit when he was at City but having spoken to City fans that have seen him every game in the last couple of seasons they said he was ace, very consistent and really missed him
He was ace for us too
£2.5m is a steal when you look at the shite out there goin for mega £££££££££

• #106299
Worth a punt at 2.5m.
to think we spunked 5m on anelka. That experiment went wrong. I bet Barry is about as controversial as a packet of biscuits. Got a bit of a stray elbow on him mind you... -
