Right I now have 4 too many bikes... 8 in a one bed flat is proving too many! So here is my L'Eroica Britannia ride:
One very original british racing green R.J.Quinn with lovely lug work and white detailing. Seat tube is 61 ctc, 63 ctt, Its big but its rides lovely! Its a lovely looking bike that rides great. I bought it to strip down for parts to build my Bob Jackson but upon collection I could bring myself to strip it.
Its running Normandy hubs, the rear is a Normandy flip flop hub that (will take a case a 5 Speed block) or a fixed gear on the other side. The rims are 27" weinmann's. The rear mech Campagnolo Nouvo, Campagnolo front mech, Campagnolo chain set, Camplagnolo BB, Campagnolo shifters, Cinelli Bars, 3TTT stem, weinmann brakes, Modolo levers, Millard record copy pedals, christophe toe clips and straps, Michelin tyres.
Supplied with brand new (not fitted) period correct cloth brown bar tape. Since buying it I've had the rear hub stripped, rebuilt and re greased. The gears and brakes have been adjusted and I've ridden 60 miles at L'Eroica, 56 miles on it to Box Hill and back, and a handful of outing to work and around London.
Its by no means a minter, but with a little work it could be a stunning, got a lot of complements at L'Eroica and around Surrey on it.
R.J.Quinn's were built by the brothers of Harry Quinn. Beautifully lugged, nice detailing, great decals. Im 6,2" with 32" legs and its as large as I'd like to go with the seat at its current height.
Sold without my Brooks Saddle, without Carradice Zip Role and without bar mounted bottle rack. Just looking for a quick sale as I've just bought another Bob Jackson. £275, would prefer cash on collection! I know I can break it and get a lot more for it but I can't bring myself to do it, its to original and to nice!
