The stem was down this afternoon (I was allowed to hold the hover and definitely not the saw) and I added the old bottle cages as a temporary measure. I've also put the original seat tube clamp on too as I think it evens out the silver of the Record headset up the front. I've also put the original down tube cable mounts on, purely because they look like tiny pyramids.
I need to find my bag of spacers as a slightly smaller one will look better to my mind, than what I've got on now. I Also peeled off a warning sticker from the front wheel to see what the adhesive is like.....its a nightmare and requires the sort of patience I don't have, so I'll be raiding Mrs Beards nail varnish remover bottle, if i decide to take the lot off. Really not sure though.
I'm really enjoying having it back and I'm very much looking forward to giving it a proper shakedown on the club run on Sunday.
