Yeah, hard to quantify that's why I'm asking. i've another pair of Pro lites i've done well over 3000km on in the last year in all weather and they have virtually no wear, ditto my Ambrosio/Royce wheels, so that's why I was surprised.
Just chucked a cassette on it and put it on the bike to test the bearings.
Totally fucked.
Refund.

WAC etc.
Does anyone else find drawing a route on Google Maps complete agony?
-
• #61379
is it not easier to use MapMyRide or BikeRouteToaster?
They have that auto-draw thing between points which is considerably faster.
-
• #61380
Yes! Maybe I'm missing something? It keeps snapping back to the shortest distance between start and destination. Its really not designed for that sort of thing is it!

My uncle's getting me some new cycling shoes in the states.
Anyone able to recommend a good US based online retailer?

Barca.
Second vote for Barca. Copenhagen - pleasant but quite dull. Venice - smelly and rammed full of tourists. Nice - unremarkable, apart from the Riviera poseurs.
Excellent. I was leaning towards Copenhagen or Barca, but needed confirmation that Copenhagen is not that exciting. Anyone been to a city recently that they think is a must-visit? I wanted to go to Istanbul, but my gf went last summer..

I find ridewithgps to be the easiest and most reliable. I used to like mapmyride but it ran slowly on my old laptop. It did the job though

It is easier to draw a map with BRT, for sure. but BRT doesn't know where things are, I think.
Problem: I have a set of points on the map that I want to draw a bike route between. I have them plotted in google maps, but I can't export them as waypoints (can I?) so it seems like my only option is to draw the route between them in google maps.
It's space year 2014 and it strikes me that this stuff is still insanely difficult.

Yes, but man says he will refund next week so I won't sound the luffgus horn of alacrity just yet, despite being pretty fucking peeved.

drunkenly shitting in inappropriate places and putting a wee flag in it.
You have to give some kind of credit for his managing to form a flag from urine.
-
• #61388
No, he actually seemed to have his own readily available supply of wee flags.

i think i saw someone walk out of a cubicle without flushing a few minutes ago, which was verified when someone else did a turn around when they walking in moments later.
...first person also didnt wash their hands either....
Humans are fucking disgusting.
I've seen a Knight of the British Empire come out of the toilet after a particularly messy dump and not wash his hands.
That is why we should abolish the honours system.

hey everyone whats a classic looking threadless silver stem with a 31.8 clamp? I'd prefer a 1" steerer.
i realize the inherent paradox... hence the "looking"
it's going on a Gios Compact Pro with a silver headset.

can anyone please recommend me a classic (looking) seatpost in alloy finish with a significant amount of setback?
one that wouldn't look too out of place connected to a B17 Brooks if at all possible :-/

If you want yards of layback, Velo Orange is the most obvious. Only 6mm more set back than a Kalloy SP-248, but I suppose millimetres count when you insist on using weird old fashioned saddles :-)

This probably isn't anything that you can use in this situation, but I'll put it out there because it should be known if it isn't already.

Again, Velo Orange from Freshtripe is a good bet here. I just got one but it's 1 1/8th.

Is it illegal in anyway to use a handheld camera while cycling?
I'm considering cycling with a camera on a wrist strap for quick snaps of drivers on phones and then starting a tumblr or something to upload them all. Obviously I want to be covered enough when pissy motorists kick back.
