  • Ha nice shot Ollie, check out the light leak though!

Anyone here have experience with the canon a2e? I want a decent eos film camera to compliment my 5d.

  • Looking through the shots I took when I borrowed that there is evidence of the leak on many pics ranging from barely there to blatantly obvious.

  • This thread makes me miss shooting tons of film like every day, time for a trip to pound land and ASDA I think, I have a box of like 60 rolls waiting to be processed.

  • ^^ So much this. So many rolls of discontinued film. So little motivation.

  • Been doing so much digital lately, I just miss everything but the costs or effort of processing. I wanna just go and roam with a compact and some shit film. All the film I've shot lately has just been the nice fine grain and true to life colour stuff.

  • Well jelly of even shooting digital. Hit us up with an update. Good to see fresh pics.

Those slopes look ridiculous by the way.

  • Will do, got a couple of rolls in jessops to be picked up soon.

That was from Avoriaz this year, great snow and no lift lines for a few days so we got up early and hit pow in the mornings and park in afternoons.

  • Mamiya 7/Kodak portra 160 scanned using the imacon and colorperfect

  • Amazing that dsan,.

  • Just gotta another roll back from the other snowboarding trip this year.

All GR1, Jessops processing+scan and no post.

  • All of those shots are superia 200.

I also found this accidental double exposure on a roll of portra 400

  • Really like the "Bushman" images on your website!

  • Hello all. My first attempts at film (in fact any photography) since uni 20 years ago. Holiday snaps from Dorset last week. Pentax ME super, poundshop Agfa film, processed and scanned at snappy snaps in Putney.

First time linking from Flickr too, so bear with me as this may not work.

  • Olympus OM20 - Cheap 35mm lens - Kentmere 100, self dev, self scan. Tried experimenting with a longer dev time to increase contrast but I don't think it worked too well as this camera seems to enjoy over-exposing a bit.

Shot so much black and white recently with mostly not-that-exciting results, got some Portra 160 to get through next.

  • Hello all.

    Hello huwr,
    I like the first picture.
That man back there looks like he's 3m tall.

Phil that aerial shot of the farm is cool.
Never shot Kentford film, maybe the 100 ISO stuff isn't too forgiving regarding exposure?

  • Am I right in thinking the OM20 has a manual dial to change the exposure by + 2 stops allowing you to expose for the highlights with the centre weighted meter?

Perhaps try a red filter - arguably this should increase the contrast where sky and foliage are concerned and bring out the texture in masonry and stonework?

Yeah could be that, I usually use it to test new cameras as its cheap. It worked well with my AE-1 though.

It does have that dial yeah. I used it a couple of times but I'm not sure if it makes any difference if its displaying the same shutter speed on the meter. Unless it has more increments of hidden shutter speed?

Top one is great, love the colours and composition

Aperture priority? You'd need to confirm this with someone who is an actual user, not a pensioner relying on failing memory...

  • Yes, aperture priority. I'll do a bit of research, thanks!
