Sanchez to Arsenal taps Dick
Well he is a good looking fella.

"Aston Villa is a big Premier League club, with great tradition," he said.
Yep - plenty of history here. Should attract a quality buyer, looking to re-establish the club as one of England's finest.
"It will sell, but you are talking about somebody who would want it as a plaything rather than somebody looking to make serious money from it.
"Of course, there is the fit and proper persons test, but that doesn't seem to be the most stringent thing ever."Oh dear.
This is not going to end well.

Isn't Prince William a fan? Surely he could step in, no?

Falcao to Madrid.
Suarez to Barcelona. It's the sound of the fair, the smell of candyfloss. All aboard the merry-go-round.
It's like monopoly. I honestly think Suarez is a better fit for the fascistas.

A plutocrat owner wanting to squander away his ill gotten gains. He'll fit right in.

I will lobby Wills to set up a consortium with Dave Cameron, Tom Hanks, Ozzy Osbourne, Nigel Kennedy (and Floella Benjamin).
Dream team right there.

Lenny Henry and Jasper Carrott should be on the board of directors too.

Herrera to united.
Seems pricey at £30m but he's a good age and a very talented footballer

It's better than £40m for Robben. Based on his WC I'd still like to see Robben but at less dumb price.
-
• #105564
He would be great for you - inject a bit of much needed pace and directness into the team. £40m is pricey (esp given his age) but it's hard to think of anyone else who is:
a) Potentially available
b) Willing to go to a club w/o CL
c) Of that quality, with that kind of experience.Watching him at the WC, he looks to be in the (fitness-wise) form of his life and he has more to his game than just pace (like Ribery - who is basically shot now at 31).
I think that you just have to be realistic - you are going to have to pay silly money to get top quality players to even think about it.
Bit like being a Spurs fan, but without the United factor.. or Van Gaal. -

Why is everyone mystified by the red card for Marchisio? He just stamped on someone's leg, deliberately and right in front of the ref. How can this fucking clown commentating say that no one would have said anything if it hadn't been given?

Ok that passage of play just summed up the main problem. England passing the ball around the back. Nobody really knows what to do with it next and eventually Smalling lofts a high lob pass to the right midfielder. It's so telegraphed the player is easily dispossessed as he struggles to control the lofted pass which has left him as easy meat to the opposition. England no longer have the ball. Defenders who have no idea how to think one or two passes in advance before they receive the ball.
And can commentators stop saying 'at this level'. Costa Rica are a poor prem side at best. This level is below the weekly diet of the England squad. It's not the level which is high it's the stage and we suffer from stage fright. -
