Yeah, 3-legged mutant bear-dog's should probably have right-of-way.
Fixt.
I don't think you're taking the problem of cyclists sharing space with 3-legged mutant dog's having "pedestrian OR" seriously enough.

Mate don't break your balls to overtake me on the Hyde Park cycle path and then proceed to whip your phone out and cycle at a speed slower than my nan would. Grrr.

Woo-Hoo! Finally got a good one. Two lane bit of Coronation Road in Bristol, the left lane goes right, the right straight on. Lorry waiting at the light to go straight on, the lights are red, could change at any moment to I elected not to filter past the lorry on the left to the front and sat behind him. Chap behind me on a old purple steel road bike didn't and went past to perform literally the most mal-coordinated trackstand I have yet seen, then when he obviously couldn't hold it any more (he looked like a clown on a balancing ball) he ran the red light. Worst of all were his socks, which were an off-red fanneling type, thick and wrinkled.
I wanted to catch up with him to have a word about his socks, his crappy trackstand and why you no filter on the left bro, but he blocked the lorry along the road, which in turn blocked me and eventually he just peeled off left. I am disappoint.

Because filtering on the left of a large vehicle is a very stupid thing to do. Filtering on the right is better practice all round - motorists are much more likely to be looking for trouble on their right shoulder than their left - and has the advantage that you avoid all the nodders filtering on the left.

Yes, that was what I was going to tell him. Thanks for explaining it to me.
As it 'tell him why you shouldn't filter on the inside of a large goods vehicle'

It's the meme quote that is causing the confusion. "Why you no" is taken to mean "why don't you", where as you are using it to mean "why you shouldn't".
As far as the road layout went, I didn't even spot the mistake, but I do have difficulty telling left from right, tho I would like to make it claer I am in no way responsible for this Conservative government.

Aye, Matt, that was the cause of the misunderstanding

This is pretty much every road in Bristol as far as I can make out. Certainly after sinking a few in the Hillgrove

Just walked down Torrington place and saw three incidents of terrible cycling:
1 & 2: A lorry was stopped on the north side of the road, blocking the segregated cycle lane. Two nodders coming towards it in the lane; one goes onto the busy pavement to get round the lorry, the other cycles on the outside of the cycle lane barriers, ie. on the right hand side of the road and into oncoming traffic. The road, in their direction of travel, is car-free.
3: Nodder-on-nodder undertake in the cycle lane; the two guys stopped and had a good shout at each other about how to behave. Since the road is right next to it, shouldn't you leave the cycle lane for people who want to cycle at a more leisurely pace?
I reckon people feel like they have to stay in or next to (why?) the cycle lane, and in the moment they don't even consider that there's an entire fucking road that they can legitimately use.

always with the 'nodders'.
you ride a bike, you haven't done a tour of duty with the Green Berets. get the fuck over yourselves.

The trouble there (as someone who often cycles down the road there) is the amount of abuse you get from car drivers for blocking them from getting to the next red light five seconds quicker.

Maybe not, but I used to play CounterStrike, and I once had a go on Call of Duty, so I'm pretty much in the SAS.

I use that cycle lane everyday on my commute. And I've ridden the dynamo fixed once so I'm a proper cyclist. I like it, low stress, low risk, low speed.

Hi, dumb question, but I keep seeing this term going around this thread and some, what exactly is a "nodder"?
-
• #9949
One who nods their head to the rhythm of their (usually knee breaking geared) pedal stroke. Often riding helmet backwards/unclipped/hanging from bars. Some wear oversized yellow jacket to obscure rear light. Dislike stopping.

Ask Greenhell, king of the Nodders.
Try riding on the Worth Way in West/East Sussex.
The dog owners are mutant three legged bell ends whom own the Sustrans track.
Foul mouthed also.
They taught me everything...
