Only came across this thread, because of the massive dredge, but it's funny reading 4 year old comments based on the huge amount of gentrification thats been happening in the area over the last 3 years. Still edgy but seen a lot of changes since moving from Finsbury park in 2006. I'm near Turnpike Lane end of West Green Rd, so not as edgy, but definitely been incidents - but you'll get that anywhere in London. I'd recommend the place - if you want more info try Harirngay Online forum. Good luck with the search - prices are dropping now, albeit from silly levels
