• VGC carbon rimmed track wheels
both CX evo 320 tpi (rear tub is minty used glued on, front tub is the same but new and not yet glued to the wheel),
    fixed threads on rear
these have seen indoor track use only - they are a type the BCF used/uses on track tandems (as well as them being suitable for single rider bikes) so they must be strong
349 pickup from woodley or i can deliver anywhere in the county for 10gbp

good for flat TT on the roads too and probably grasstrack - or just swanky fixie stuff

rear has a small speedo magnet glued on - i wouldn't like to guess on a solvent that'll take the glue off and leave lacquer untouched - so it's pretty much got to stay on there.

  • computer says no

  • Huh?

    Obscure sales thread

  • here's the rear, pics of the matching front later

the table here shows spec - if they've not changed the model since - i don't think they have except the stickers
(i'll check the spec against wheels when i can ) :

for rear looks identical, front has been changed for a hope ti body hub

not been able to find an rrp. reference again for these but had a figure for somewhere c. 800 to 1000 -maybe someone knows?

  • here's the front
the hope hub - which i think is Ti, is almost certainly not standard to the original wheelbuild,
spokes are sapim non-bladed unlike the rear,
    tied and soldered
front tub is not glued on here - also it seems you'll need to fit a valve extender on that.

i suspect, but can't confirm, that the front has been built to be stronger (with a 2 cross pattern) for track tandem use.
the original would have had a radial spoke build according to the corima website link above

  • having just looked again, the front has 24 spokes - not the 18 given on the website,
so i now suspect this is a rear rim- which would explain the non standard hub and spokes.

again, i think this is the way it is because it's been built up by the BCF as a stronger front wheel for track tandem use.

  • I would think that magnet has been stuck on with epoxy resin careful application of heat with a hair dryer and gently easing it will soon have do not use any solvent.

  • thanks for the suggestion, i'll leave the decision on that to the buyer

  • awful tdf sales on holme moss means cash injection needed quickly

last reduction before they are moved elsewhere for sale - (which will happen v. soon if not sold here) :
