  • Last week someone wished to make a complaint about an officer. He had just pulled apart a bit of a "handbags at dawn" scuffle at a well known Berkshire racecourse. One of the combatants told the officer that he paid his wages. The officer replied "Well if you pay peanuts you get monkies".
    This (white) gentleman considered this a racist comment towards his (mixed race) daughter who was nearby but oblivious to the conversation. Racist comment or belm? (for a bit of thread crossover)

    I think we've had the odd post recently about language needing to be taken in context to be understood. The context here is clear and nothing like racist.

    Post the complainant's details up and we'll all send him an email advising accordingly.
