Went to LBS (BikeShak, Altrincham) to check whether they had less slippy wheelbolts, and to buy bike cleaner.

Explained the bike was for polo and that I couldn't wait for something to be ordered in as I'm flying to the euros tomorrow.

Mechanic pokes his head out of the back and says

"I used to run a bike shop in central london, do you know a guy called Dave Tappy?"

There was a certain incident at Ladies Army 2 years ago, where I decided to start drinking strong beers in the morning. I don't remember anything between about 1pm and 7pm.

But in short the rest of the Europeans were nice enough to arrange for me to sleep under a tarp, so I didn't get sunburnt.

That didn't happen this year, though I was very tired cycling home, and my girlfriend was worried I would fall off (I was fine)
