Have you taken a look at Diadora Speedracer Carbon Shoes?
Retro look but nice modern shoe!
I have the Fluro Yellow and Black ones and also Fluro Yellow and Black with Fluro Pink Soles too.
Worth a look unless you are a full on purist of course.
