Brand new needle bearing threadless headset (not my choice) on brand new frame.
Headset cups installed by LBS, star nut installed by me.
Go to tighten headset with spacers and stem and the seal cap is prevented from sitting flush because the compression ring seems like it's too high. I'm reluctant to put more pressure on the whole assembly but there's about a 0.5mm gap, which is higher at the back for some reason.
Cut down ring or apply more pressure?
