Calling all you talented, creative folk. I'm pleased to introduce a new event coming to south London this summer - Spoke - taking place 28th June at the CLF Art Cafe in Peckham.

Spoke is a design and illustration event that celebrates all things cycling. We want to promote art work of all things cycling, bringing in as many illustrators, designers and cyclists from London and beyond, for a day of art, cycles and workshops.

Expect Cycle powered films/animations, still ‘cycle’ drawing, music from SHED Radio, screen printing workshops, artists showcasing wonderful prints and much more!

Don't we already have Artcrank fit this kind of thing?

Artcrank is only screen prints isn't it? Lovely though I'm sure they are, the aim of this show is to be inclusive of all sorts of media. It would be great to get those guys on board too though...

Spoke will be inclusive of all types of media - illustrators' prints, designers' cycle accessories, bespoke designed bicycles and more.

We're also going to be hosting a series of workshops from screen printing your own cycle posters to pedalling a bicycle powered projector so lots of different things!

Anything cycling-positive that can appeal to non-cyclists has to be a good thing. Moreover, Spoke features some very nice work by the looks of it. One for the diary, for sure.

This time next Saturday we will be opening Spoke in Peckham!
