Jagielka was wank too.
As was Baines.
The whole team were wank but the above got slated by the London based press who were pissed off with the 'imposters' that kept out Terry and Cole

top tier of football need to look long and hard at themselves, as they should do with every passing tournament where we fail to get into the squeaky bum stages..
can't claim its the best league in the world, if the players your sides produce aren't up to snuff in international competition.
Premier League has the most money but is unwilling to spend it on producing a better national team. Greg Dyke has his work cut out, if we're to win the world cup in 2022...
Welcome to Brittania PLC. Everything is up for grabs...if you have the cash.
Pandora's box is open and the Premier League will not be relinquishing that anytime soon. Before you even look at this you have to ask why Spain and Germany have so many more badged up coaches than we do? - A lot of them are just there at municipal pitches in those countries...Ask yourself how much the FA charges for coaching licenses in comparison to the same qualification abroad.
Another reason we're fucked is arrogance. How many players actually turn up for under15, under16s, under17s, under18s, under19 tournaments? We scoffed in this country when there was talk of Wilshire (I think) going to an under 21 tournament. Instead the attitude seems to be:
"Well I've got a prem contract and I'm bertie big balls. Why would I, why could I have to go there?"
Instead their hype machine kicks in, they're transported into the first team only to sit on the bench, gain little tournament experience and then moan of boredom in their early to mid 20s. But don't worry, the agent has negotiated an improved contract with a bigger salary.Southampton, Everton and Liverpool have played with verve and a vitality that have gained plaudits. All these clubs have fresh young hungry managers at their helms. I don't see where Roy Hodgson fits in. The fact that we had Roy and he was out of his depth from day 1 should have rang bells if you were hoping for a similar approach from the national team. I really felt one of Rooney or Sturridge should have been dropped but instead it was more of the usual shoehorning rubbish.
