  • Just got back from Hawksmoor.

Tell my family I love them.

  • So, you're sucked in by a marketing label showing a cyclist?

No wonder this country is overrun by forrins..

'sucked in' yeah that's it. I totally feel duped into posting an image on a bike forum about a food featuring a cyclist. What was I thinking?! I'm not fit to have a bank account. Here take this away from me.

  • Is that custard flavoured yoghurt essentially?
    Any good?

Because if so <<<<<<in my belly.

  • Grabbed some bone marrow from waitrose, any tips as to best way to cook?

Get a dog. Or braise it, like here http://picturerealfood.com/2013/06/19/roasted-marrow-bone-with-bacon-and-garlic/

I roast and then add to mashed potato.

good, i'm glad you at least acknowledge your transgressances

but i'm slightly ashamed to be associated with your weak as piss sarcasm level 1 response

just grow a pair and tell me/anyone to fuck off

  • Tetchy much?

  • mmm, six pints at lunch in brackley, in the sun, watching england vs sri-lanka

    ..pawsibly

  • Time for a lie down, petal... x

  • Crème brûlée Häagen-Dazs is not good. Crème brûlée on its own is unimprovable. I can't stand it being farted about with - adding lavender or whatever. I had a laughable interpretation of it in Ireland recently from a kitchen just cottoning on to nouvelle cuisine presentation, ideas and naff sugar-work, while the rest of the world have long forgotten it. So, this yoghurt makes me angry.

    no! turbo-shandy!

    this!

  • I tried a basil crème brûlée, so so wrong.

  • Sweet Mother of God!

If you're anywhere near Borough Market grab a 'Bread Ahead' Doughnut. Without doubt the best doughnut I've ever eaten

Can I ask what is so good, in your opinion about these? Over a nicely made doughnut.

Or as they people say, sell it to me. ;)

  • All my experience with dairy stuff from The Collective has been beyond ace.

Probably my favourite yoghurt ATM. Not light though.

  • good, i'm glad you at least acknowledge your transgressances

And will you acknowledge your transgressions? :)

Having said that, 'transgressances' is already growing on me (although it should really be spelled 'transgressences', but that reads funny). I was a big fan back in the day of the Melody Maker's Manic Street Preachers Fan making up her own nouns, like the excellent 'shallowality'.

  • Morrison's on walworth rd have what's described as chunky meaty beef bones "ideal for stock". They look like ribs and that they'd be tastier in my belly, anyone seen these before? They are quite cheap.

  • Right back to Morrison's it is!

  • not really the same thing
for the big ribs you see at morrisons, the only options really are slow cooking or pressure cooker

  • oops, ignore me.

  • yeah was planning to slow cook them for hours £2.99 a kg can't be sniffed at.

Just seen this, I'm in all day tomorrow brewing beer so I might as well slow cook me some bbq beef ribs at the same time

  • I liked it better when I could buy RZA acetates for a quid in the record shop but Lewisham finally has people queuing in the street for £6 food #modelmarket

  • nice to see houndstooth making a big comeback.
