Took route the 2nd in today and out. Its shorter by 1mile each way, but is twice as hilly.
Quieter roads both ways, which is a nice thing.
Also, though not as stunning as route 3, the view on the way in over Radcliffe on Soar Power Station and Leicestershire's lowlands is pretty nice.
Tempted by route 3 tomorrow.
Also developing a route 4, just for variety- which will take in one of my favourite local little climbs.
