~~ Originally bought from Yodasm9 (http://www.lfgss.com/thread124996.html) as I wanted the silver carbon forks for my brother. The frameset has seen a fair share of commuting and bits of the paint have been flaking on the forks shoulders so they weren't good enough for my picky brother.
Therefore this has sat, unbuilt, for the last couple of month and it is back for sale at the same price £100 ->£95 with more parts
This is good commuting material!
The size is a medium so will fit someone around the 5ft9 mark. I unfortunately can't find the geo chart anywhere... Picture of the build at the end.
I will take photos of the actual frameset and all the bit included tonight but here we are in the meantime:
Planet X Superlight Frame (Medium size) 53/54 cm. Barrel adjusters included. Small ding on the TT, I would guess cause by bars hitting it while carrying the bike. Couple of scuffs from commuting so being picky, I would say 'above average' condition.
Planet X Carbon Fork with carbon steerer - couple of scuffs and some paint flaking on the forks shoulders. The Cane Creek integrated headset is operational. Comes with spacers, a carbon bung and a top cap.
3TT Ergo Power Due Bars 44cm with Shimano 105 brake levers
100mm Ritchey Stem
27.2mm ITM Mantis seatpost and non name seatclamp.
Boardman Saddle
Promax Alloy brakeset in mint condition
Happy to include inner/outer brake and gear cables too. And a front mech clamp.
Pick up from Brixton / Putney - also happy to post.
Cheers
Vince
Official Blurb:
The Planet X Superlight Team Aluminium was the bike that started it all. Our classic race-ready frame has been fine-tuned to perfection over the years. The result is a very responsive, lightweight, ultra-stiff race frame, that some of our Pro riders prefer to carbon.
It's no 'hack'. The Superlight Team Aluminium frame makes the perfect training bike, but is doesn't feel like a 'hack' when you ride it. The triple-butted heat-treated T6 Aluminium is very stiff, which creates incredible power transfer and acceleration, both in and out the saddle. The lightweight Aluminium flies up hills.
Race Proven.
It's no coincidence that this frame has won so many races.
Our Pro rider Mark Lovatt rode a Superlight in numerous Elite events including: The Lincoln Grand Prix, Tour of The Peak... In Marks words: ""its stiff, fast and cheap, a bit like me...""
The perfect training bike.
The Planet X Team Superlight Aluminium is the perfect winter bike frame. It will build up into a light, fast training bike, that'll last for years.
