I hate commuting by bike now...

The A2 and the 201 up to Kings Cross have broken my spirit. It seems as though every other person is a total cunt, placed there just to make my life miserable.

It sounds like it's time to try a new route

Take Earthloop's advice. I've been commuting along the A3 and up to Kings Cross for a year and I've never felt so miserable and depressed and angry at all the waves and waves of absolute cunts that stream along the route in both directions at all times of the day.

I changed my route a few weeks ago and it's like a huge boulder has been lifted off me and I actually feel almost cheerful again.

I confess to pretending I've lost my child whenever I ride with an empty childseat on the bike.

Approaching a red light with pedestrians about: "Are you having fun on the bike with daddy little one?" and then turning around in feigned horror (I'm still working on perfecting this look).

Usually gets one or two people to look aghast.

Only a few months until I can retire the commuting tank and these games will be over.

Greenbank, that is something. just make sure you dont do it infront of maddy's parents, they will be upset.

btw why are you retiring from commuting on bike?

I never trackstand in public, I feel very self-conscious about people judging me as a show-off fixeh wankah, I'll even unclip and sit on the top tube even though I know the lights are about to turn green, just to make a point.

When I've had a few drinks on my own I do trackstands in the kitchen when no one's home.

I get all embarrassed when they come back early and find me trying to juggle satsumas at the same time.

Issues.

I drove in to work today. Oh the shame of hangovers and sleeping through alarms.
It was 4 minutes faster, which annoys me more.

Lesson learnt. :)

btw why are you retiring from commuting on bike?

Not retiring from commuting, MiniGB going to school means a change in my working arrangements which means I won't need to use the tank of a hybrid with bike seat; I can go back to using the lighter faster bike(s).

Lesson learnt. :)

Indeed. I hated every minute of the drive.

I only just changed my password from the one lufgus generated for me last time I forgot it. It has been months and months but I never spend any time anywhere apart from the office and my girlfriend's macbook, so why be logged in anywhere else?
