For Sale: Giant TCR, 1st generation, 50 cm

For sale this Giant TCR, one of the most innovative bikes of the nineties:
the slooping frameset (was Giant the first?), the Aero carbon fork and seatpost . The new way of spoking a wheelset.

seattube: 50 cm ctt
toptube: 53 cm ctc

The spokes of the wheelset of this Giant are Aero spokes, sharp as a razorblade.

Sorry Marryann the spokes aren't razor sharp, the trailing edge of eg a HED3 trips poke is sharp & the spokes are actually plastic rather than the carbon peeps think they are.

Yes, as you might guess I did own one, second generation, I had great success on it too- mine was the blue anodising. I sold it to my Plumber in the end.

Yours does look in remarkable condition. Wheels & seat post are £130 quids worth on their own :-)

what's the effective seat tube length please Maryann? Presumably as it's a compact the 50cm CTT is equivalent to a 52 or 53cm if it had a horizontal top tube?

I guess what I'm really asking is what height riders / insider leg you think it is suitable for...!

Yes, I think you are right, 52, 53, 54 cm effective seattube length.
Think the bike fits riders with a body length of 165 - 174 cm

which I think is 5'4" to 5'8", hmmm, she is at the shorter end of it, and I think it might possibly be too big, I will have a think. Thank you
