Quite fitting that this is the day before TdF rolls into town. Do we think the roads will be clear?

I won't be able to even join in this year, but I can offer a small but useful tweak to the North Finchley bit. Is there an editable map?

We can hope :)

To edit the map, make a new copy of it on ridewithgps ("COPY TO MY ROUTES" on the right) and edit that then post it here. The route at the top of this thread is the route we actually rode last time, and it already includes the Finchley improvement from the guy with the coloured-in A-Z (was that you ?)

nope. I rode with you for that section which did include a good mod. but a very car-busy section can easily be hacked away. ill try and have a go at editing when I get home. wont try to do it on my phone!

Home sweet home. I find just smashing it down and sticking bang in the middle works a treat.

Ok, I'm not sure this is going to happen then. I guess all the calls for a summer version weren't that serious. Still looking forward to the winter version!

I have this week off work and am considering doing the ride. Thinking about week day traffic though, reckon it will be a significant issue?
Was thinking about tomorrow, but if anyone wants to join me then as long as its not a rainy day this week I'm flexible. Aiming for about 25km/h starting early-ish to finish in the light, geared -

Thanks for devising such a super route. Even with weekday traffic I loved it.
This would be great as a night ride too!
EDIT: Earthloop is out, but that doesn't necessarily mean you can't give it go without me.
A ride through all 32 London boroughs (and the City of London) ending at the statue of King Charles I in Trafalgar Square, the point at which you are 0 miles from London. We'll be departing from Sidcup Place at 0630.
If we take the same amount of time as last time then it will getting dark as we finish, so bring lights to be on the safe side.
It's about 180km, mostly flat. This is a ride that waits for everybody. Last time there was a lot of waiting.
There will be regular stops for food, drink and toilet. Last time we mostly used supermarket superstores, but as this ride is on a Sunday we'll need to make some adjustments. Details to be confirmed. Last time the stops were:
