  • 52 should be fine. Call dolan and give them your measurements and they can advise on sizing down but 52 worked for me at 5ft7

They only have 54s and 56s atm. Tempted to try a 54 but might be too big.

By the time I add postage and agro I might aswell wait or put up with a black one. Or buy a black one and sell it on here when a chance to colour swap comes along.

  • Just trying to size up what a 56 and 58cm Pre Cursa with a 76.5cm bb centre to top of seat height would look like, measured along the seat tube of course.

  • What you might be more interested in (besides peace on Earth) is how a 56 vs. 58 will size in top tube length compared to your current setup with all the xxx's involved in the equation.

  • More bothered about running a minimum of headset spacers than tt length.

Top tube length on both sizes is within a decent range on my stem length but didn't want to be running 20mm of spacers on a 56 if the seat height I mentioned looks ok on a 58 and I can run a zero stack stem.

  • Bothers acknowledged - my guess is that the 58 will show around 2cm less seat post than a 56.

  • You also might need to run a slightly shorter stem, as the reach is usually slightly longer than advertised due to steep seat tube.

  • ^This!

  • Had a measure and it seems my current frame is 54 bb-seat hole and 54 top tube and then I have a longish stem. I think 54 is the way for me to go.

  • My friend is still after a 56cm Pre cursa, but he needs a drilled fork and doesn't like the idea of getting the track fork drilled, but also seems you can't even get the road fork with the frame anymore, only the winter fork, any ideas as to whats going on? or what to do? or even getting a fork some where else that doesn't cost to much more

  • rubbish phone picture (literally)

You sure? website still said two fork option (frameset).

  • The winter fork is the same as the old road forks but with mudguard mounts which isn't a bad thing

  • Ah, didn't realised the difference in fork, B0N0R's right, no difference other than mudguard mount and bigger clearance to match the rear.

  • He doesn't want the mudguard mounts, which is awkward.

I emailed Dolan a while back and they said the normal road fork would be in stock...

  • Tell him to either cut it off, or ignore it.

  • I believe the winter eyelet fork has a longer axle-to-crown in case it ruins your slavery.

  • Chrispickering, pm on the way.

  • Quick Q for track champion owners.

I should be able to fit 28mm tyres on it, shouldn't I? Currently have 23s on mine but could do with a bit more grip and comfort on Helsinki's gravelly, bumpy streets and cyclepaths.

Looking at the clearances on mine I would expect they would fit, but be good to get confirmation from anyone who already has. My UTFSing yeilded nothing.

  • I seen people slam Rando's in there so i would assume a 28c fits

  • Alpina headsets - Is there anywhere I can source a spare crown race from, or are all 45deg crown races compatible with alpina headset bearings?

  • 3xDolan on todays ride #trackslack
