  • Ps what is that siempre cafe like that we passed?

Great! Its like a bigger Scottish version of LMNH, but does better cake BrickFact ;)
Also at the end of my street.

  • I'm up for a lot of next week so will try to visit. Does he have any requests?

  • He took 5 steps today . A great achievement. Haribo all round i think is called for.

  • Great news! Must be a big relief for everyone-lets hope it continues!

  • He's ordering lucozade in bulk from amazon.Apparently he has found some great bargains. I'll ask him next time I'm in if he wants anything.

  • was in today and he was tired from physio, I happen to know his physio from my work and he's one of the best.

forgot to add I left him with a couple of books

  • An update from one of our guys. He is up and walking a little but does get tied very quickly. Either way its a great improvement since we saw him last week.

  • Likely to be in for a bit longer as he is a bit weak, now that he has started light exercises. We think he should remain up there for as long as possible receiving the best medical help so please do call in again for free bottles of lucozade !

  • Visited the man last night, he's in good spirits. He reckons he's likely to be in another week, maybe because he's got his eyes on the spin machine! Still weak and getting tired quickly. As said above he is in the best place and speaks highly of the care and attention he's been given in the spinal injuries unit. He's happy for random weegie cyclists to visit him. No lucozade left though ;)

  • I knew I wouldn't get in this week so sent in a couple of T shirts via my missus,

he was in physio when she popped in so didn't see him, hope he liked the shirts

  • I'm going to be in Glasgow until Monday, let me know if he needs anything or if I can do anything to help.

  • He is getting adjusted to guys he doesn't know and chatting. He really appreciates the visits. Philip hall zone 3 is where you head for. He has painted a white line and made it a strava section.

  • Ian now getting out of bed , going for walks to look at the helipad and stuff( new southern general hospital has been named the Death Star !), misses the high dependency ward because the nurses were fitter. Good news.

  • He has been given the all clear to leave and come home on Friday which considering 5 broken vertebrae 26 cm of rods punctured lung he has made a phenomenal recovery. This would obviously not of been possible without the air ambulance, The hospital at inverness, the edenhall spinal injuries unit, glasgow fixed crew, virgin cheap rail deals, iron brew and locozade.

  • Brilliant news! Personally I credit the Irn Bru :D

  • great news, best of luck for the future

  • Glad to read this, please pass on my best wishes for the forthcoming period of recuperation.

  • lines starting with a 'greater than' denote quoted text
