An update from one of our guys. He is up and walking a little but does get tied very quickly. Either way its a great improvement since we saw him last week.

Likely to be in for a bit longer as he is a bit weak, now that he has started light exercises. We think he should remain up there for as long as possible receiving the best medical help so please do call in again for free bottles of lucozade !

Visited the man last night, he's in good spirits. He reckons he's likely to be in another week, maybe because he's got his eyes on the spin machine! Still weak and getting tired quickly. As said above he is in the best place and speaks highly of the care and attention he's been given in the spinal injuries unit. He's happy for random weegie cyclists to visit him. No lucozade left though ;)

He is getting adjusted to guys he doesn't know and chatting. He really appreciates the visits. Philip hall zone 3 is where you head for. He has painted a white line and made it a strava section.

Ian now getting out of bed , going for walks to look at the helipad and stuff( new southern general hospital has been named the Death Star !), misses the high dependency ward because the nurses were fitter. Good news.

He has been given the all clear to leave and come home on Friday which considering 5 broken vertebrae 26 cm of rods punctured lung he has made a phenomenal recovery. This would obviously not of been possible without the air ambulance, The hospital at inverness, the edenhall spinal injuries unit, glasgow fixed crew, virgin cheap rail deals, iron brew and locozade.
