That looks fucking great. How are you finding it?
I find it too comfortable. It really fits well, that's why my new frame will be 54cm one instead of all the 58 I have ridden. Smaller reach and bigger drop is comfier.

The frame came and it's really nice, but the color is a bit off (can't tell if it looks different on my screen or robert made a mistake ;it doesn't change much though, really happy that I can finally build it up)

I had the same problem, oredered a dark blue, got black. Its happened to others as well, pretty sure their paint guy is colour blind.

Appparently not. Chump.

Does this looks good?
As the tubing isn't really light making the rear triangle smaller will reduce the weight of it. I'm going to use it as track bike and haven't seen many track bikes with compact geo'. Any thoughts on that?Bike will look like this if I ever get it done: http://img.bikecad.ca/1401970285312.png

Does Mielec really work ok with detailed diagrams like the above? I thought I had read people getting wrong lengths/angles when people tried fully custom things.
-
• #4661
^^that'd look sweet, I think you have to just be really clear with them, use a bikecad drawing with only the measurements they'd need, ie no fork, stack reach etc. just tube lengths and angles.
Use bikecads geometry viewer and pick what you need, that'd be the cleares way imo, still, if you do that in the bikecad link, it might win the coveted best-mielec-yet name

Do you have more pics from the left one? Looks rad

Yeah! It's mine. I will take some good ones in the next days.
Thanks by the way.

Would like it with alpinas in that colour scheme and a celeste/cyan bartape better, but rad nonetheless

• #4668
Very nice, is that detail a decal?

What detail?
All the dark celeste are stickers.^^ The bartape is celeste to match the stickers. But it is a bit brighter than the stickers.

Hi guys I'm planning to buy a new frame and just saw this forum and registered to ask some questions and hear some opinions. My options are mielec or dolan pre cursa. Talking about mielec(since this thread is about it) is geo good? Should I copy another one ? Any recommendations? Thanks any help will be appreciated

If there's a geometry you like the look/feel of but the actual frame price is a bit steep (like the Mash or LOW//) then Mielec lets you get a fairly similar frame for less in whatever colour you want, just get them to copy the geo.
If you're comfortable with coming up with a geo yourself and sending them a clear diagram of what you want, they can make it, so custom geo for relatively peanuts.
If you like the Dolan geo, don't mind the paintjob and want the frame faster, then go with Dolan, it'll be with you faster and they're decent enough frames. But, if you're dead set on another geometry, or want custom, don't mind waiting and a slightly higher price, go Mielec.

Thanks for the fast response I think I'll go with Mielec since I want other color (I'd like something like this http://www.mybeautifulparking.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/img_97661.jpg) It's a 725 leader frame)
What I dunno is what geo should I copy.. thought about dosnoventa, it's pretty horizontal. It will be my second fixie(first is a junk second hand xD) -
• #4673
Fair enough, depends what you want really. If you fancy a faux low pro, then the MASH or LOW// are good ones to copy.
If you want horizontal/more traditional geo, then maybe copy dolan/track champ geo? If you want a horiztonal top tube, just find a geo online for a track bike that fits similar to how you'd want it to and get them to copy it. Dosnoventa would do, but from what I've seen on here, head tube angles seem to be a bit slack.
If you don't know what sort of sizes/top tubes you'd be looking for, this is a pretty good place to start to give you an idea in terms of sizing - Bike Fit

Just go for the standard Mielec geo. (mash copy).
