because his wife wants him to sell it, so he say 'sure love, I'll stick it on eBay'. He then puts a ridiculous price on it knowing it'll never sell but pretends to try to sell it. he then gets to keep the bike, and keep her happy. win win
though judging by the size it could also be a husband wanting his wife to sell the bike
