For Sale: Mercian Lopro lugless 653

Won this on ebay for £330 spend £70 getting it delivered in a van from the middle of nowhere, would like what it cost me so £400. Would love to keep it but it doesn't really agree with me and I need space for other projects.

The previous owner says its only done 200 or so miles and I'd believe him given the rim condition.

Is 653 renovated, was repainted by Mercian a few years back. The paint is easily a 9 out of 10 with no visable scratches. Some marks that would come off with spirits.

Wheels are CX18 tubs laced to Campagnolo C Record hubs. Hubs are mint, rear rim has barely visible signs of wear however the grey brake pads have left marks. The front has a small amount of visible wear and also brake pad residue. Tyres are shot but included.

C-Record crank with 53 tooth ring and campagnolo peddles.

Has a Shimano 600 rear deraliur for some reason.

Mavic headset, ITM Citta di Bassano stem and pursuit bars with scrapes and insertion marks. Modolo Kronos brake levers in good condition however one has go a little white but I think thats fixable.

Brakes are Dia comp gran comp areo and whilst in good nick are crap and need new pads.

Seatpost is C record. Seat not included.

I have new pink jagwire break cables i can chuck in.

Size is 54cm.

Its a nice bike and a decent price I'm guessing but I don't think its fair you make the buyer pay the cost of you going to pick it up, you should have paid that if you wanted it. If you'd have lived closer you'd be selling it for less now?

If the bike had initially been in London or the seller wiling to post it, it might have sold for more on ebay and if the OP hadn't chosen to disclose the reason for the price you'd have had no cause to question it. Ultimately the seller names the price and if someone wants to pay it they do. I think 400 quid is very reasonable regardless.

I remember it being on eBay and I was very tempted and I would of gone for it had it been slightly bigger. The guy also had an Aende low pro as well which was his Dad's GLWS

Yes if I had lived closer to it I would be selling it for less. It was a nightmare getting it collected the guy lived in the middle of nowhere on an marked street and an un numbered house with no phone reception. Took the van guy an hour to find the place, had been driving back and fourth on the guys street until he finally managed to get hold of the seller who came out and waved him down.

Someone buy it and hang it on their wall or something, it's beautiful. Actually someone buy it and ride the shit out of it.
